چکیده
Objective: To categorize root canal configuration according to Vertucci’s classification and determine the frequency of second in mandibular lateral incisors Pakistani subpopulation (Karachi based) by using Cone Beam Computed Tomography.
 Study Design: Cross sectional study.
Place Duration Study: Out-patient department Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Radiology at Dow University Health Sciences, Karachi Pakistan, from Jan Jul 2019.
Methodology: was conducted on 160 extracted permanent incisors. After extraction, teeth were randomly arranged wax models imaged via CBCT. Each tooth sample analyzed axial sagittal sections. The images investigated two blinded examiners data morphology recorded.
Results: single recorded as 107 (66.9%) whereas 53 (33.1%) showed canals. Females presented with a higher canalled incisors, although results statistically insignificant. most prevalent anatomy detected Type I (105, 65.6%) followed III (33, 20.6%), II (12, 7.5%) V (10, 6.3%). Mandibular presenting canals anatomy, (32, 97%) commonly 100%) (9, 90%).
Conclusion: CBCT scans are an effective tool for identification morphology. frequently configuration.

Investigating Root Canal Number and Morphology of Mandibular Anterior Teeth Using Cone Beam Computed Tomography
Background and purpose: Root therapy will be successful if it is done based on a correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan with the knowledge of morphology and tooth anatomy, debridement, disinfection, and obturation of the entire root canal system. This study aimed to investigate the number and morphology of canals in root canals mandibular anterior using cone beam computed tomography (...
متن کاملEvaluation of mandibular premolars root canal morphology by cone beam computed tomography
Introduction: To achieve a successful endodontic treatment, the clinician has to identify the different canal configurations.mandibular premolars have the wide variety of root canal morphology and they are known as the most difficult teeth to treat in endodontics.CBCT provides a non-invasive 3D confirmatory diagnosis as a complement to conventional radiography. The aim of this study was to...

متن کاملEvaluation of the relationship between crown size and root canal morphology of mandibular incisors by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT)
BACKGROUND The main reason for the failure of endodontic therapy is the incomplete knowledge about the anatomical variation of root canals. One of the most important factors that leads to the failure of root canal treatment, is missed and untreated major root canals. OBJECTIVE with respect to the complexity of mandibular incisors treatment and high prevalence of the second canal, and the poss...
